Surfacing vendor bugs before they become outages.
[Situation]
01
Every IT operations team runs on hardware and software from vendors who ship bugs, and most teams find out after something breaks. BugZero surfaces those vendor bugs inside ServiceNow, where IT teams already work, so the risk shows up in the queue before it becomes an outage. A ten-person remote company with traction and investment behind it, they were moving upmarket toward larger enterprise buyers. The brand was not ready for that conversation. The design system had the right components but nobody was applying them consistently, so core communications were crowded with dated IT graphics and heavy gradients. It looked like a startup selling to IT managers, not a platform an enterprise would standardize on.
[Solution]
02
I came in as an individual contributor with one job: simplify the visual assets and rebuild every deliverable using the toolkit they already had. The app dashboards came first since they were the bottleneck, then the website, where photography and custom infographics were used more intentionally. Case studies, whitepapers, presentations and trade show designs followed over the year, and the new assets went to work in the pipeline as the team pushed into enterprise accounts.
